Illinois Gov. Candidate
January

If
you know anything about the state of Illinois, you should
know that it is where Presidente Obama got his political
start. It was in the Illinois senate where Barack Obama
vote against the "Infant´s Born Alive Act",
a simple law that said that if a baby survived an abortion
attempt, it had the ringht to medical care.
It
is also a state in severe financial crisis, and Adam Andrzejewski
is just as bold on his views there as he is on the abortion
issue.

Walsingham
England 2009.
Eduardo
Verastegui was invited to the Youth 2000 International Walsingham
Prayer Festival 2009.
Noel Murphy, 31, National Director of Youth 2000, said:
"We are especially delighted that Eduardo Verastegui was

Hong
Kong Mission: Bella the Movie This week in Hong Kong Nov
10-18 I and our team will need your daily prayers and fervent
intercessions for protection and God's purpose to be accomplished.
Our mission team, myself, Carl, Jin, Peter Gent, Eduardo
Verastegui and our local leaders in Hong Kong will be campaigning
for the release of the movie Bella in Hong Kong, China.
His
movie as you know has impacted lives all over America with
the message of LIFE. Many babies have not been aborted after
young women have watched this movie. God has opened a door
of mercy to Hong Kong to be saved as Hong Kong is the number
one industrialized city for the number of abortions, literally
1 out of 3 babies in HK are aborted each year.
We are praying that this movie will be watched by every
family in Hong Kong and Asia so their hearts will be convicted,
touched and changed so that they will consider keeping the
destined lives in their wombs and others would rise up to
adopt many unwanted children, who are completely desired
and wanted by our Father in heaven.
Eduardo Verástegui the lead actor in Bella and myself
will be going from church to church and holding press conferences
to promote this beautiful film all over HK during the next
10 days. The movie gala premiere will be Nov 10th evening.
That night MC JIN and myself will perform a new song we
recorded called "THANK YOU" which tells the story and message
of being thankful for the precious life that has been given
to us by God. Pray that this song goes all over every radio
station in Hong Kong to inspire and change hearts in youth
and old alike.
Mexican
actor turned pro-life leader Eduardo Verastegui is in Spain
this week promoting his movie “Bella,” which debuts there
this weekend. While in Barcelona, Verastegui spoke about
his desire to protect the unborn, especially Hispanics in
the U.S.
According
to the Efe news agency, Verastegui said the film, directed
by Alejandro Monteverde, is intended “to touch the hearts
of all,” and is a result of his desire to produce a film
that “elevates and saves the dignity of Hispanics in the
United States.”
“It’s
also a hymn to life and to the respect for the basic values
that are being lost, especially among young people,” he
added.
“Bella,”
which won the People’s Choice Award at the Toronto Film
Festival in 2006, will debut in 100 theaters in Spain this
weekend. Verastegui plays Jose, a soccer star about to sign
a multimillion dollar contract whose life takes a tragic
turn until he meets Nina, a pregnant waitress who wants
to get an abortion.
“There’s
nothing greater than protecting life, from conception to
natural death,” Verastegui said, adding that he is disappointed
with Hollywood’s stereotyping of Hispanics.
“Hispanics
are more often portrayed as crooks, rappers or womanizers
instead of as everyday heroes who struggle to find their
place in society through hard work,” he said.
“So
I promised myself I would never offend the Hispanic community,
my values and my family again,” he stated, adding that the
result was the birth of Metanoia Films, the company that
produced “Bella.”
Eduardo
Verastegui, producer and actor, endorses McCain-Palin Campaign
CENTENNIAL,
CO -- Today the McCain-Palin campaign announced the endorsement
of Eduardo Verastegui, one of today's fastest rising Latino
stars. Best known for his starring roles in the 2006 movie
Bella and other Mexican soap operas, Verastegui was voted
by People en Espaol as one of the "50 Most Beautiful People"
in the world. He has made appearances in the popular TV
series, Charmed, as Mr. Right, and in Jennifer Lopez's "Ain't
It Funny" video and her new perfume commercials.
"John
McCain is the only candidate for president that shares my
values of life," Verastegui said. "He truly recognizes that
we are all God's children. John McCain is someone we can
trust to do what is right and follow through on what he
says -- as opposed to Barack Obama, who does not share our
traditional values of defending innocent life and the sanctity
of marriage. Obama has proven this time and time again.
During his personal experience as a POW in Vietnam, McCain
renewed and strengthened his faith. And early this year
in the heat of a political battle, he had the courage to
stand against his own party and support comprehensive immigration
reform. His resolve serves as a reminder to us all that
we must vote our values and our conscience, and not vote
simply by party. We can't afford a president who lacks experience
and judgment and would stand for values that are out of
step with the Hispanic community and this country. Although
I seldom thrust myself into political campaigns, I recognize
the stakes and that it's most important that we put our
values first and support John McCain."
A
devout Catholic who attends Mass daily, he will talk about
his values and announce his endorsement of John McCain during
his Values Tour through the state. He will also hold a series
of private events and meetings to drum up support for John
McCain and Sarah Palin in the Hispanic and faith based communities.
Five
lives were saved because Eduardo Verástegui answered
the Holy Spirit’s call
September
27 2008 - Los Angeles
Here’s
a photo of Eduardo at that 40 Days for Life outside the
abortion center on Saturday morning.
Los
Angeles- Over these last 48 hours, the Bereit family has
been to four more 40 Days for Life locations: in Vallejo,
Napa, Sacramento, and Lake Tahoe, California (I know — it’s
a tough job, but somebody has to visit these beautiful places…)
In addition to the inspiring people we’ve met, we’ve also
learned that a little star treatment can help work miracles!
John Anthony is helping lead the 40 Days for Life vigil
at Family Planning Associates, the busiest abortion facility
in Los Angeles.
He knew Saturday would be a difficult day, and was praying
as many volunteers as possible would be on hand to stand
witness. Those prayers were answered — and then some — with
the arrival of actor Eduardo Verastegui, the start of the
movie Bella, and several of his friends. “Eduardo arrived
a little after 8 am and did not stop counseling, praying
and encouraging women to choose life for their babies —
with love, tenderness, humility and compassion — until a
little after noon,” John Anthony said.
“God is good — five babies were saved that morning!” But
that isn’t the end of the story. John Anthony said it wasn’t
just abortion-minded mothers that caught Eduardo’s attention.
“The day had a dramatic ending when eight nurses from the
clinic came outside to meet Eduardo!” He spoke with the
nurses and gave them copies of his new Spanish language
pro-life video, “Dura Realidad.” “Please pray for these
precious turnarounds,” John Anthony asked, “and for the
conversion of all clinic workers and for Eduardo — what
a courageous witness and backer of courageous words with
action!”
In Los Angeles, lives were saved because a well-known actor
answered the Holy Spirit’s call.

Verástegui's Mantle of Guadalupe Foundation Fulfills another
Mission
Founded
by Eduardo Verástegui in December 2005, Mantle of Guadalupe
has the dual mission of providing assistance to minor pregnant
women while promoting adoption; and better shelter conditions
for impoverished families in underserved regions. This past
June, Eduardo led a team of volunteers deep into the mountains
of Puebla, Mexico, to help a community in need. In the eight
days the mission lasted, the group built several houses
and replaced many deteriorated roofs. Eduardo was joined
by priest Juan Guerra in this outreach effort that involved
the participation of approximately 50 young men and women.
The youngsters, mainly from the United States, began their
journey at the Basilica of Guadalupe in the Mexican capital,
from where they then parted by bus to the city of Puebla.
Once there, they continued along winding roads through the
mountains to reach the remote village nestled in a valley
where they would set up and serve the following days. As
the pictures will show, all construction materials had to
be carried by hand or on the shoulders of team members.
At moments it rained abundantly, which made the task more
difficult. But that didn't put a damper on the group's enthusiasm.
Nothing could deter their willingness to help. At week's
end, Eduardo and volunteers said good-bye to very grateful
new friends, smiling and waving from the door of their new,
or newly-renovated, homes.

WASHINGTON,

Initiatives will convene a Compassion in Action Roundtable

for Orphans and Vulnerable Children” on Friday, November
16 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The event will feature Jedd

who stars in the adoption-themed movie Bella, as well as
non-governmental organizations and government officials
working in the field of adoption and orphan care.
The
event will explore innovative domestic and international
models for solving the needs of orphans and vulnerable children.
An estimated 143 million children face the world as orphans
in the developing world today, while an even larger number
of children are highly vulnerable. In the U.S. alone, 514,000
children live in our foster care system, and approximately
115,000 of them are waiting to be adopted. Without parents,
children are often deprived of the love and protection they
need and are susceptible to abuse, illness, poverty and
other injustices.

families were the real stars at the premiere of Meet Me
in Miami on Tuesday night at the Cinemark Tinseltown Westchase.
The event was sponsored by Lift Up America, a nonprofit
organization that provides necessities for needy children
and their parents. Mexican heartthrob Eduardo Verastegui
and New Zealand actress Tara Lenist on, who star in the
film, were on hand to meet with families, sign autographs
and pose for photos.
"I
want to make films ... to make a difference in society,"
Eduardo Verastegui said. "This is my first time where
I'm at a premiere that is going to be about my friends
— the children ... I'm going to ask them for an autograph."
Children
were driven to the premiere in limousines, walked the
red carpet and were given on-site hearing and sight tests.
After a free screening of the film, families were given
groceries. "I never dreamt it would be possible to touch
thousands of lives," said the film's producer, Lisa Abbott.
The
romantic comedy opens Friday exclusively in Houston. Moviegoers
will receive free admission that day until 6 p.m. if they
bring a nonperishable food item, pair of eyeglasses or
hearing aids to select Cinemark theaters.

Meet me in Miami - Houston - Texas
June

The
mother of four will make history when her film, 'Meet
Me In Miami' has its red carpet film premiere in Houston
on Tuesday, June 6. The way Abbott is releasing 'Meet
Me In Miami' is believed to be a new innovative model
of film distribution that is designed to impact a city
through a momentum of giving.
Abbott, along with the film's director, Eric Hannah, and
some of America's leading corporations have joined forces
to give over two million dollars
worth of products to Houston's less fortunate population
in a star-studded night of "giving hope at the movies."
Free eye tests and eye glasses, free hearing tests and
hearing aids, children's soft toys and numerous food products,
will be gifted to the less fortunate from off the red
carpet. The housewife with a heart to lift up the nation
of America is "delighted" to release her first film in
this way by giving the "gift of entertainment" at the
special premiere night event.
'Meet
Me In Miami' is a sweet, lighthearted film about never
giving up on a dream. It stars two of Latin America's
biggest heartthrobs in Eduardo Verastegui and Carlos Ponce.
Verastegui will join Abbott, Hannah and other Hollywood
stars to begin a 40 cities US tour of giving for 'Meet
Me In Miami's' theatrical release. Houston kick starts
the national tour.

MORE
THAN 5.000
YOUNGSTERS LISTENED CAREFULLY TO EDUARDO
March
7 th 2006
Eduardo
Verástegui gave an excellent conference at Congreso Internacional
Gente Nueva for more than 5.000 young people where he
shared his personal experience about Morale in the Arts.
Eduardo
had his first experience as a lecturer at the Congreso
Gente Nueva 2006, there he asked these young people not
no be caught by appearances, trends, television and friends.
Eduardo
is a well known musician and actor for mexican soap operas.
He recognized that most of his life he wanted to be famous
and wealthy but he also mentioned that after getting what
he wanted he didn't feel whole and happy inside for which
he went through difficult moments in his life experiencing
internal tests that made him change his lifestyle "in
favour of human rights and God's Love"
Because
of this emptiness Verástegui looked for shelter in Christ
and spent around two years without working because he
felt the jobs he was offered weren't coherent with his
values and with the help of his friend Yasmin he decided
to enter a monastery and to dedicate his life to God.
But the presence of Father Juan Rivas was crucial when
he told him that it wasn't necessary "to become a priest
to change but instead he could take advantage of his talent
to achieve that change he was looking for.
From
that moment Eduardo's view of life changed completely
and decided to follow Father Rivas' advice so he created
a film production company that makes movies which offer
and promote human values.
Eduardo,
to fight for his new dream, went into business with two
friends that were in the movie business, to the point
that he went to the Vatican to entrust his work to God
and there he met an investor from Philadelphia, who put
his money to take a story of values to the cinema.
Today,
Eduardo Verástegui is convinced that he had taken the
wrong path before and he didn't hesitate to invite the
attendees to examine their concience and let their masks
and prejudices fall which have prevented us from discovering
our real self.
At
the end, the members had the chance to ask him questions,
he was grateful for the support and he also admitted being
nervous because of this first participation in front of
an audience of thousands of young people.
When
it was finished the comment was not only about the special
feeling Eduardo has with people but also the way he approached
the subject.
Every
day Eduardo is more interested in young people to understand
Morale and Values so they could know that this's the only
way to improve Life in the Planet.
He's
not seduced by Hollywood, he only wants to do movies that
leave an education that can raise the spirit of the human
being.
