"
The Last Goodbye "

""The
Last Goodbye"" re-united well over 70 Latin Artists. The
producer Emilio Estafan ,Jr. re-united more than seventy
artists, a symphony, a choir of male singers all united
to record ""The Last Goodbye"". Seven cities around the
world were involved in this unprecedented, massive project,
a project on this scale never seen before at the music industry
of the Latin world. All arrived at Miami, New York, Los
Angeles, Corpus Christi, San Juan, Mexico City, and Madrid.
With help of modern communication technology, the singing
was done simultaneously. The singing was a tribute to the
victims of the terrorist attacks of 9/11.
The
money raised by the profits of the event was all donated
to important charity organisations, in order to help the
victims of 9/11.

""At
the four minutes which the song lasted, we sent a message
of union and hope, with will last for an eternity in our
hearts. The artist who participated, all represented different
styles of music, but all united to the same theme, helping
our brothers and sisters in need who suffer. At moments
like these, we put forward the best inside of us to help
and support where ever we can"" , told Estafan very emotionally.
John Secada, and Gian Marco, the two other songwriters together
with Emilio, they where doing the conducting of the song
together
.
""I felt so grateful to be together with the people who
abandoned their ego, from stars they became ARTISTS, no
stars but ARTISTS, because in this darkest hour for America
the stars faded in the utter darkness of 9/11"" told Gian
Marco. ""This union of talent is of priceless value. It
was an unique experience, and all the artists working so
close together to do this recording"" added Secada.
Don
Francisco, TV host of ""Sábado Gigante"" (""Super-Saturday"")
at the broadcasting channel Univisión, who borrowed the
theme from Emilio for a TV special, was present at the recording
in Miami. The national and international press gathered
outside, eagerly awaiting the opportunity to do interviews
and photo sessions with the artists.
The different time zones between the cities was a welcome
help to enhance the coordination of the recording and video-taping
for the special music video release.

""We
cannot reverse what happened, but none of us will loose
faith, we will raise our voices, and our strength and determination
will be reborn"" told a chorus of the song of ""The Last
Goodbye"".
