Hello Eduardo, I hope you are well. I have seen a few of your interviews and Bella. You have my full support as you minister and make a good impact for God in this dark, gloomy world. Where there is light, darkness flees. I am impressed by your benevolent heart and altruistic works. I would like to help you in your altruism. My prayers go out to you, your ministry, your staff and your family. Your good deeds, Christlike spirit, and compassionate heart bless me, and I consider you one of my heroes. God bless you for putting HIM first and shining HIS LIGHT and LOVE onto the world. Respectfully,

Stephen

Dear Eduardo, I have the up most adoration for your work and the type of human being that you are. You have the spiritual strength that involves the power of up lifting burdens, a foundation deep enough to resist external pressures and the security of ultimate resources. People in general tent to fallow men or woman who know where they are going, therefore leaders need to know what they believe in and why. You have been intelligent enough to know that reputation build on image without substance eventually becomes a crumbling facade. You are a positive role model and not only just to society but the christian community as well. You have shown compassion which is a sign of a loving heart, one of the greatest virtues of all. I just wanted to let you know my appreciation and because of you I know how we use or misuse our abilities ultimately determines our quality of life and God desires obedience which keeps us from becoming entangle or enslaved to those things that distract us and cause us heartache. Thank you for your time.

I have never seen Eduardo in a film before and thought his acting as well as this film was absolutely wonderful. I have recommended it to friends and also would like to go and see it again. I looked him up to find out more and was also amazed at the singing as well as the other things he has done. I hope to continue to see you in films. It is so refreshing to see such a lovely film with so much meaning and also that touches ones heart. Thank you so much.

Mr. Verastegui, Just saw your film a few weeks ago at a special showing by an organization dedicated to perserving the family here in Pennslyvannia. My wife and I thought it was very good. The story was excellent and all the actors did a great job. I especially liked the family atmosphere portrayed in the film by the Mexican culture. We saw a short DVD before the film where you talked about your experiences at the abortion clinic and was very touched by that. I hope that God has great things in store for you as you let Him use you in all that you do.

Regards, Darren Crowden Harrisburg PA

First and foremost I'd like to say that your website tribute to your friend is absolutely superb both in structure and content. My name is Ely a thirty-three year old fellow latina in miami florida. I just got home from watching Bella and I must say that it is a masterpiece. I hope Eduardo continues this type of qualty filmaking as it really shows off his depth as an actor. He truly is a force to be reckoned with! It is nice to see that his aesthetics match his drive and determination. Bless you Eduardo you have a gift.

Elyn

Hi Eduardo, I've been listening/reading to many of your new interviews posted in your website http://www.eduardoverastegui.com.ar/ingles/home/home.htm . I want to thank for being a voice in issues that matter. Its not everyday that an actor speaks so openly about how horrible abortion is and how wonderful adoption is. So many politicians take the stand of your right to choose, in order to get votes, but I strongly feel that abortion is never a choice, adoption is the only choice when a person or person cannot give a baby/child the home and security they have a right to. Your film "Bella" has the power to change the world, and it has been proven due its worldwide recognition. Congratulations on developing a movie production company that does such profound film work. Cant wait until your next project. Wishing you Eduardo Verastegui a wonderful Christmas and the very best for the New Year 2008.

Elvira Larrain Miami, Florida.

Mr. Verastegui, thank you so much for making this movie. It is beutiful and it is inspiring. It reminded me of how wonderful life is and it made me see people in a different light, it made me look at people as individulals with values and dreams not much different than my own. I will forever remember this courageous and tender story, your masterfrul acting that made it all seem so real, and the people in the movie will forever remind me that everyone is deserving of my respect. Thank you. Thank you and God bless you.

Not sure if Eduardo will receive this but please let him know that I am proud of his life and love for Jesus. I pray that there will be more men and women in Hollywood who will use their gifts for His glory. We saw him on TBN tonight and felt honored to hear his story and see his life. May Jesus continue to shine in and through him in a place that needs it. My wife and I are part of Antioch Community Church in Waco and currently training to go plant a church in Norman, OK to give our lives away to the nations by reaching the University of Oklahoma Campus. If he is ever seeking opportunities to minister to influential students we would love to have him come out. Blessings to you all.

Hello Eduardo, Love this site… just discovered Eduardo when I was channel surfing the other night . I about fell off my chair! The more I read the more I respect… what a wonderful man!! . Thank you again for a wonderful site!!

To Eduardo : Bella Thank you for this most worthy project. It truly is Good work in the name of Christ and His Church, and in the name of helping mankind since hey- we are all in this thing together! It is a miracle how many are drawn to the Catholic Faith through the Blessed Mother. As was apparent through Eduardo's comments about Our Wonderful Lady! I share her name, Mary, and it inspires me to try and not shame it, and to do right by it.
I inevitably fail very often. But am trying harder than ever. And you and you and so many others are trying and working much harder.... what more can anyone ask of you. so, thank you from the bottom of my heart, to you and all involved. And thank you again for your beautiful compassion..... I have seen many times over how the Blessed Mother can fuel our compassion very readily. It is one the most beutiful gifts we can give to our fellow humans. And if we stop and consider what Our Lady endured as well for us, the worst possible pain for a mother....well, it's enough to make you want to love others as she surely loved us. As God loves us.... He gave us so much, and asks for so little in return right? thank you!
And thank you for inspiring me to go to Daily Mass more often, adn to pray the Rosary more often. thank you for your sweet movie.....i am passing articles and interviews about Bella along to everyone in my address book!

Being this the only contact I’ve found of Mr. Eduardo Verástegui, I hope this email will get to its due destination. First of all, I’d like to introduce myself: my name is Ana Vasconcelos Fernandes and I’m writing this email as the direct representative of Dr. Isilda Pegado, President of the Portuguese Federation for Life (Federação Portuguesa pela Vida), former member of the Portuguese Parliament, and a member of the Catholic Lawyers Association (Associação de Juristas Católicos – AJC).
It came to Dr. Isilda Pegado’s attention both the highly praised movie Bella, which Mr. Eduardo Verástegui starred and co-produced and, through that, the life of Mr. Eduardo Verastegui and his devotion in making this kind of films and divulgating his message and his beliefs. In fact, having heard about this movie only a few days ago, the process of investigating it led to the opportunity of being aware of Mr. Eduardo Verástegui’s professional life and his catholic journey.
Therefore it was possible to watch some interviews given by Mr. Eduardo Verástegui, to gather some information about him and what he’s trying to accomplish. Portugal, as you must be aware, is a catholic country with one of the main catholic places, in fact one of Pope John Paul II’s favourites: Fátima. Portugal had a major role in the history of Catholicism (namely in the Age of Discovery and evangelization) and Catholicism is still very influential in our society. The discussion about abortion, the adoption system, moral values, etc. is very much alive around here.
Unfortunately, it is of my understanding that for now there aren’t any plans for distributing this movie in Portugal or Spain or in any other EU country for that matter. It is our opinion that this is a movie that everyone should be able to see. Consequently, we’d like to make it possible to divulgate this movie here in Portugal. But not only that: it seems that the mission and the message of Mr.
Eduardo Verástegui as he declares it is very powerful and it can be very influential to young people. Dr. Isilda Pegado has a strong link to the Portuguese Catholic University, arguably the most prestigious University in Portugal, namely regarding law. Overall, we are able to provide a great platform to deliver and divulgate this powerful kind of message. With my best regards,

Ana Fernandes - Portugal

Saw Bella tonight...I am emotionally awed. God is working one of His miracles directly through Eduardo. Eduardo, you are a hero. Do amazing things.

First of all I really want to commend you for all of the positive changes that you have done in your life. Being that you are a public image, I am sure that it was not an easy decision to follow through with, but you have, and it says alot about your character.
When I heard about Bella, I knew I had to see it. On Nov 4th, I attended West Valley Community Church and you happened to be there promoting the movie, it was definitely a great surprise because I had been talking about you the last couple of weeks. I was doing some promoting myself!
I had seen you on Cristina and other spanish speaking programs in which you were promoting the movie and speaking about your new ways of thinking and I was defintely mesmerized. I really respect your beliefs and would only hope that more men thought that way! It was a great movie, definitely a movie that everyone has to see! It is great to see that you are trying to bring positive images to Hollywood because unfortunately just like your previous characters, the only images tend to be stereotypes and there is much more to our Latino community than papi chulos or ladrones or cholos and I am very glad to see that you are trying to change that. It is important for the Latino community to see themselves represented in a better light and know that they have positive role models. Espero que sigas llevando a cabo todas tus metas. Gracias por tus buenas intenciones, felicidades!

To Eduardo & the people of Metanoia Films: I wanted to send an email your way to tell of the admiration I have towards you. When I saw the movie, Bella I remember thinking how amazing it was to see such a film with integrity and true meaning behind it. I remember sitting after the credits, inspired and reflective.
Without knowing Eduardo's history, story, or any details of the background of how this movie, producers, actors, and team came together, I was impressed. Now after reading a bit of the bio and story, and hearing a bit of Eduardo's heart, I am deeply moved. It takes a lot in our times, in our society to stand up for your beliefs. Eduardo's trust in God goes beyond just a statement of belief, but in his willingness to surrender personal dreams and really lay aside his future as he explored his journey with God makes me know he has much depth and sincerity. It's apparent he doesn't just 'talk the talk', but he actually lives it out...in his day to day decisions and his commitments.
His focus and determination to live out his purpose soley for his Creator is truly admirable. When living in Australia and facing a hard 'season' of life personally, a friend gave me a M.I.L.K. greeting card with a picture of a little girl being spun around by her father. The way the photographer took the photo, if you look close, you can see in the girl's eyes, the reflection of her dad's face as he spins her. It's something I will ALWAYS remember, just as my friend reminded me through that card, that we must focus our gaze on our Father, the One who has our hands. Sometimes when life hits us, we feel broken, wounded, forgotten, the list goes on, but when we choose to keep our gaze on Him, our focus is clear. In the picture the girl has such innocence, tenderness, and seemingly no cares in the world, and all the while her Father's reflection can be seen in her eyes..... I share this with you because really, I believe what you guys are doing...reflects your Father. So thanks, thanks for trusting God, even when it was hard, thanks for following His voice and path, thanks for giving Him your talents and being open to His direction, thanks for sharing your gifts and being used by God in great ways. I'm sure He has more amazing things ahead for not only Metanoia Films, but for each one of you personally as you continue to surrender your dreams, your gifts, your hearts to Him....I look forward to the future

Dear Eduardo, I am not sure if this e-mail would reach you at all, but something within,a stronger desire motivated me to send this short note. I simply want to thank you for bringing that hope to my heart that there is/are man/men with faith and love for God who want to love, to respect and share life with that other significant person. I share the feeling that beauty and material are essential, but they are not the most fundamental characteristics in a human being as it is to know their soul, their humble heart and values. I usually don't watch TV, but it was such a random time when I overheard you in a show talking about your faith and your love for God and your compassionate heart-reinstated within me such hope... . Thank you for working toward improving the image of our Latino community in the US. It is good to know that there are still people out there who believe in justice and mercy. Such desire has led me to become an attorney... Gracias!

Maria Isabel

Hola, My name is Itala and I am 18 years old. I don't know if Eduardo is really going to read this email or if this website is fake or not. But I just want to say that makes me very happy to know that we have people like Eduardo in this world. It is so hard to be involved in fame, and still think about God, and it amazes me that he would give everything up and just follow God. When I see your interviews on the tv or on the internet, just gives me the chills. I didn't think that men like you existed anymore. I pray to God every night to send me someone that will respect me, and will love God just like I do. All my friends arent really worried about the things i worry about, and it is so sad, because this world is so dirty, that sometimes makes me think that there are no good people left. I am 18 and still a senhorita, i didnt give it up, because i promised God i would wait for my husband. On friday nights instead of me going out to clubs and parties, i stay home, and hang out with my family. I try so hard to do what God wants me to, but sometimes it is so hard, that makes me want to give up. Sometimes i feel so lonely, and wish i could have a boyfriend, but I know none of the guys here are worth it, because none of them care about God as much as I do. Like i said before, i pray every night and tell God that I will wait no matter how long it takes for Him to send me the right boyfriend or husband, but when He does send him, I want to be just like Eduardo. jejeje, last time i read one of your interviews, you said that you promised God that you would not touch another woman until you got married, and I started crying. That is beautiful, really really beautiful. I just want to let you know that you are the kind of man any woman should want, because you are a man of God. Keep being the person you are, and don't ever let people try to bring you down, because you have changed a lot of people's life. Always keep God as Number one in your life! God Bless!
