With
the taping of an episode of the US series CSI Miami Eduardo
Verįstegui demonstrates 2003 is an excellent year in his
career.
And
too it was announced that in march he will receive a music
award from the music industry in Monte Carlo. immediately
followed by his return to the USA to promote his upcoming
movie ""Chasing Papi"". The premiere is scheduled at May
the 23th, and Eduardo is continuing his work by taping his
second movie ""My Gardener"", to be taped in New Zealand
instead of Italy, as previously was programmed.
""We
kick off the new year with a lot of work, thanks God"",
We were taping, I was invited as actor in the successful
series CSI Miami and this fitted most perfectly in my time-schedule""
he enthuses.
He
got just a 15 day hiatus before leaving to New Zealand.
Verįstegui explained that the episode ""Forced Entry"" is
to be aired the first or second week of february. Verįstegui
playing the owner of a record shop in the city of Miami.
As
always the series attempts to solve criminal cases, and
in this episode of CSI Miami, the protagonists are investigating
the murder on 2 employees of the record shop. The two murdered
were involved in drugs-related crimes. The criminal investigators
were thinking the owner of the record shop was the prime
suspect, but in the end they proved to be false, the record
shop owner proved to be innocent, so only adding to the
confusion.
The
native from Cd Mante, (raised in Xicotencatl) Tamaulipas
demonstrated to be happy with his invitation to do acting
on the American small screen. He never could have imagined
this from being happening. ""The experience I got by doing
acting on the mexican small screen helped me a lot, and
the experience with CBS is fantastic, and however it's small
screen, they use there 35 millimetres, the same size as
on the big screen"".
Setting
a goal
However,
Verįstegui commented, the small screen is not his priority,
because he is 100% focussed on the big screen, both in the
US, Mexico and Spain.
""Television
is not my first priority. This being said, I rejected a
pilot offered by CBS for a 5 year-contract. This because
I like most to do the big screen, movies. Here in the US,
when you sign a deal with a company like CBS, you only have
a -one month a year hiatus- to try to succeed on the big
screen. So my priority is to be available all around the
year in order to pursue acting on the big screen.
So
I am setting my cards entirely on a career of the big screen.
I have some other projects under my belt to support both
my career and personal level, in order to achieve my goals""
In
less than 10 months Verįstegui landed the big contracts
in Hollywood for both ""Chasing Papi"", and the second contract
for ""My Gardener""
Other
goals being set by the actor this year to become successful
is planned to be materialized by a Mexican movie.
""I
am studying the script of a Mexican movie, to be made in
Mexico, with a Mexican director, I hope so much this will
happen, because this is one of my dreams coming true.
Later
on this month, soon after januar the 15th I will be able
to explain how this will have been evolved. This will be
during my stay in New Zealand""
Verįstegui
told, he'll be travelling to Monte Carlo in march, to receive
a music award, a statue handed out by the music industry.
""When
I finish the taping of ""My Gardener"" in New Zealand, I'll
go to Monte Carlo, by having realized my objectives.
At
this place the best people of the music industry are being
awarded'"
