His new music CD, a dream comes true

Sun tanned skin fierce glowing emerald green eyes, chiselled face, the mighty body of a classic olympic greek athlete.. An icon of a 21th Century adonis. This is how we can describe this Mexican, born in Cd Mante, and raised in the little town of Xicotencatl. Having a bag full of dreams, illusions, and thanks to his very hard working, perseverance, and a bit of stubbornnes, now he achieved all of his dreams he cherished during adolescence

Now famous as model, his first professional opportunity arrived when he became singer of the band Kairo, where he stayed for three years.

This was the launch-pad towards becoming one of the most well-known and most attractive superstars of Mexico. He did so by starring in Telenovelas, like Una Luz En El Camino, (""A Light Upon the Path""), Sonadoras (""Dreamers"") and Tres Mujeres (""Three Woman"") some of those novelas broke all-time records in viewer-rankings.

Mexico closed the doors of opportunity

But do not believe things came easily for this gorgeous young man. Eduardo had to struggle a lot, knocked on many doors of the show business , and he had to overcome many frustrations.

Ironically Mexico, where Eduardo celebrated many successes, slammed the doors in his face, when he tried to achieve his ultimate goal, so Eduardo decided to move to Miami.

""It was very difficult in Mexico. I was there at a record company, but they didn't give me the opportunity. For as long as three years I had to knock on the doors of the music-industry.

Even de Telenovelas didn't help to re-establish my credibility as singer. It wasn't easy.""

Eduardo confirmed the quest was frustrating, despite all this he matured, to appreciate all aspects of life much more.

Sometimes it was so difficult I cried. Fortunately I have a lot of perseverance and courage, needed to cope with every new twist in life, and needed too while visiting the next new record company. I had a lot of work as an actor, but my ultimate dream was not fulfilled. It was frustrating, but I hung on, with even more force, resilience and sensitivity. I am a real fighter, I don't give up easily, and when a door is slammed in my face, I open another one. Never I lost faith in myself, never I wavered, because I strongly believed all setbacks would pass by, all of them being just temporal.""

Fact is, right now the future of Eduardo looks brilliant, and life smiles at him. Just ago Eduardo launched his first CD as solo singer, and his first song and radio-hit ""Yo no Se Perder"" can be heard on radio. Eduardo selected this song as his favourite too, a beautiful ballad. I like it's being appreciated as ballad, but not necessary a love-ballad. I hope all of those who feel in love, can identify themselves in this song.

A heart broken man like myself, because my latest love affair ended this way."".

Verástegui is a young man, very concerned about his generation, because of the moral decline, the lost of values, and Eduardo stepped up his anti-drugs campaign, warning the youth against the dangers of drugs, so Eduardo does a lot of good work for society too.

Eduardo told, ""Drugs are a huge problem, destroying young people, and this suffering could be prevented when there would be more public warning on the huge risks of drugs, and the grave consequences using them. You are killing yourself when using them, they will kill you, both physical, and spiritual.""

His life of love

Is Eduardo Verástegui in love? ""I like so very much, but I didn't meet the love of my life, the real true love. When I would encounter it I hope it will be for the rest of my entire life. I have an idealized picture of a warm family, but I believe I should not fall in love when it's not absolutely sure this person will remain the only person for the rest of my life.

Right now my heart is lonely, I long for company, a soul mate, my heart needs it. We shall see, what the future brings.""

Why do you idealize this love? ""I like the attraction, the eyes, the warm smile, her looks, don't know....I don't have a ""prototype of woman""

The woman who I adored have been different, a dark woman, a blonde, one more slender than the other, but what's needed is the true chemistry and the flirt to make it work.

It's hard to describe, I am sorry, at this moment I do not know much more. I need to like the woman the way she is, and her sense of humour. I hope she's a cute woman, who I can have a good laughter with. A woman with principles, and dreams to pursue.""

Eduardo likes to be the conqueror, but to be conquered fascinates him too."" I like to be challenged, surprised, I like the unpredictable."'

Ricky Martin and homosexuality

False rumours

Confirming once more the utter falsehood of the very bad, very tasteless practical joke, which proved to be all that remains of the false rumour of the so called ""relation with Ricky Martin"", Eduardo told: ""Ricky is a professional friend in the music industry, he is a wonderful person, excellent artist, who helped pushing forward the Latino cause so much.

This I appreciate very much.

About the bad practical joke, the false rumour of the '"relation"" Eduardo commented crystal clear: ""I only can laugh about this utter nonsense, bad rumours are always trailing all celebrities, there are so many lies going on. This lie made some commotion, but even this I look at positively. Sometimes it feels like Don Quichote fighting against the windmills, but this lie will cease to exist too.""

""I quote Arsenico who told"" All of those who have the aspiration to become powerful or famous, has to be able to appreciate the art to endure and cope with the hatred, the bad practical jokes, the revenge, and the envy.

It always hurt, every time again, not just because the lies about being homosexual, or being hetero, but the recurrence of these very bad practical jokes, only aimed at stabbing a celebrity in the stomach.

I am right now 8 years in the business, the lies which are discussed previously really have hurt me, but at the moment I am focussing on the happier and much more important issues, the fact that my career is going very well.

""The talking behind my back..I faced many bad practical jokes the past year, why?

It's falsely rumoured I should be gay.. Another one: I should be the lover of a whore...The press likes it when I should be gay, because they have stuff to write on... Not that I am against gays, but let me put it one more time and crystal clear, I am not gay.""

If I would be gay I would have no problem to tell it to the public, but simply I am not. I have some gays amongst my friends, all of which are wonderful persons, gay people live just another way of life, and theirs is added to the whole spectrum of ways how people live.

And about the very bad practical joke of the ""Ricky rumour""

""I can only laugh about it, you get used to the ongoing battle to put this nonsense rumour to it's grave. I can tell you the nonsense rumour fortunately didn't affect at all the friendship Ricky and I both have as professionals in the music industry""

His career

Eduardo reassured us he didn't abandon his artistic facet of being an actor, but right now he fucuses on his career as singer.

I love arts in all it's beautiful aspects and facets. First of all I did singing with Kairo, succeeded by the art of acting. Right now I am focussing on my musical career"" Eduardo also shows his interest for incursions for big screen movies.

And speaking about false rumours... here is another one.. about realizing a project as a nude, he told ""Nude? I never did, and I never will. I am very shy, and I never would do that.

I would like to land a role on a big screen movie, but right now it's for me only the music"".

Eduardo told me it was premature to think of a "'Cross over'" ""but yes I would like to sing and record in other languages.""

Without a doubt, yes Eduardo would have the opportunity to sing a duet with Celine Dion, or -why not?- one with his friend Jennifer Lopez.

Right now Eduardo is totally committed to launch his CD, which includes 10 themes written by the world-famous songwriters Estafano, Omar Alfanno, Donato, and Marcelo Acevedo. Verástegui bets on the success of all songs, but his favourite is ""Por La Falta de Tu Amor"", Estoy Aqui Por Ti"", ""Vivo La Locura"", ""Las Luces De La Ciudad"", ""Yo No Se Perder"", and the song written by Omar Alfanno ""Por La Falta De Tu Amor"" on top.

The other part, Eduardo was invited to star in the new music video of New Yorker Jennifer Lopez, which brought Eduardo fame on a global dimension.

Emilio Estafan was the man recommending Eduardo to star as the worlds most dazzling gipsy hero.

It's a sizzling hot video, very sensual, very erotic, and the chemistry with J'lo, just imagine!! She is a lady I adore, she is very humble, hard-working, I am enchanted by her!

The singer visualizes his future: ""A future with warm friendship, good health, together with the woman of my life. Building a family is one of my biggest dreams. I would love to have two sons, one daughter! Right now I am planning it!!""
