This might explain Eduardo's love of the cinema Love of art runs through Eduardo's veins. Painting and movie-making could be said to be in his genes. His maternal grandfather, Dr. Tomás Córdoba, was a very interesting man, a real artistic genius. He left Mexico for Germany where he worked as a doctor, during one of the most turbulent times in history, namely after the Second World War.

He was a free spirit, a Renaissance man. A brilliant leader and a respected painter, he was fluent in four languages. All this constituted Edu's "training field" as a young boy.

His grandfather wrote the plot of the movie "SIMITRIO". It's the story of a country teacher and the relationship with his pupils.

The teacher was blind, and Simitrio was actually an imaginary character, made up by the students. Whatever mischief they did was blamed on Simitrio, but the teacher didn't know he wasn't real. Yet, one day the children decided not to get into mischief anymore and so they told the teacher that Simitrio had died, which broke the teacher's heart as he had developed quite a liking for him.

Directed by Emilio Gómez Muriel, this movie was awarded "Best Feature Film" in the San Sebastian Festival in July 1960, representing Mexico.

EDUARDO VERASTEGUI " THE GUEST OF HONOR "

Eduardo Verástegui joined the exclusive gathering organized by Donatella Versace

to celebrate the marriage of Jennifer Lopez.

The ex-singer of the band Kairo was invited to do modelling at the catwalk for the famous brand Cd de Mexico, Mexico.

it was wonderful that Eduardo Verástegui supported the party organized by Donatella Versace. The party was held in Milan Italy, to celebrate the marriage of J'lo with Chris Judd. The famous designer paid 20,000 dollars to Eduardo, to compensate for the expenses of his stay, as well as for the trip. As well Eduardo was given blank cheque at the shops of the famous brand.

And even did not include it all, the ex-singer of the band Kairo has warms relations with the sister of Gianni Versace, who invited him to do modelling for the company Versace.

""This invitation was very funny, because I was in Chicago, when I was called by the assistent of Donatella, to inform me. I thought it was a joke, so I almost blew it. I was told I didn't have to worry about dressing, because she would take care of that.""

The friendship between Eduardo and Jennifer hugely increased, when the Mexican starred in the video of the number #1 mega hit ""Ain't It Funny"", and it was the singer originated from Puerto Rico who presented him to Donatella to be exactly. Donatella told to Jennifer, I am getting tired of seeing this guy of the video all over and over again"" Who the heck is he? I danced up to 5 o'clock in the morning together with Donatella"", Verástegui told by phone from Miami.

The blank cheque was another of those very wonderful things happening"" Zamora told. The famous designer Donatella offered Eduardo blank cheque, to buy dresses without any limitations whatsoever, all of the famous brand, and at any of the shops throughout the entire US.

Verástegui in his turn offered Donatella his most recent CD.

Despite his personal appearance at the party, the singer of the famous "'Yo no se Perder"" hit told yes now it was a fact Lopez no longer was available..

The force of grandmother and the Rosary

Eduardo told: ""My mom and my grandmother were the only 2 persons having complete faith in my artistic career, they believed in me."" This previously totally unknown fact arrived at the audience since.

The press gathering at the home of Eduardo` parents took place in august, and in november the grandmother died.

Eduardo wanted to return to the USA, telling this sad case wouldn't be helping him, the death of his grandmother.. But his mom told: ""Oh no! your are going to stay here, because we'll proof you the truth, yes your grandmother can help you, even from beyond her death

In these days Eduardo` dad was ""non-communicado"" with his son, because he was upset about the fact Eduardo quitted his University studies Law. The mom of Eduardo told us, her husband temporary quitted his support for his son.

When soon after the whole family reached the consensus, and accepted the artistic career of their beloved son, his mom helped him with his objectives by supporting him spiritually. She did always so during her prayers.

""My dear son, I am going to give you something huge, which will protect you along the path of your life, all you have to do is just believing in it. Its the Saint’ Rosary, this rosary will recharge your mental batteries, so each time you feel you need help, just take the rosary on your chest, and pray, or call me by phone, and we'll pray together the rosary.

Since then, he called me by phone, telling me '"mama let's pray the Rosary"" and so we did.
